Srinagar, May 07 (KNO): Residents of Zaffron Colony, Srinagar have voiced their concerns over the deteriorating condition of the road connecting their neighbourhood to Pampore town alleging that the road is in shambles since the past over a decade now causing huge inconvenience to residents.
The road, which has been neglected for a long time, has reached a critical state of disrepair, prompting urgent calls for immediate action from local authorities.
The aggrieved locals speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the condition of the road has become a matter of grave concern for them.
Haji Abdul Gaffar Rather, a community leader and numberdar said it's not just about inconvenience but safety of commuters. “We fear for the well-being of commuters, especially during adverse weather conditions,” he added.
Echoing these sentiments, Masjid President Muhammad Ismail highlighted the inconvenience caused by the dilapidated road.
We rely heavily on this road for our daily commute and transportation needs. But the condition of the road poses a significant risk to us all,” he said.
The locals urged the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar and other relevant authorities to prioritise the repair of Zaffron Colony to Pampore Road—(KNO)
